A great, but likely expensive, tool for removing the windshield is the Viper by Equalizer. It is a piano wire spool with suction cups and ratchet spool for pulling the wire through. I had a chance to borrow one from work for one of my cars and the glass came out quickly and cleanly. If you're going to hammer out the glass, I recommend putting cheap plastic paint drop cloths in the interior to catch all the glass shards.

That tool is well worth it if u build as many cars as he dose it definitely pays for its self I use an oscillating saw but I’m getting one of those fancy windshield removal tools for next year

Most of the cars I build, have extremely difficult to break door windows. I also hate vacuuming out glass. It's easier for me, not necessarily faster, to remove the windows instead of breaking them. Also the windshield and rear window usually pop out with a screwdriver and my feet. Gotta love 70s and 80s cars.

I miss the easy black glue from the 70s. Hot sunny day and the glass pushes out

@@DemolitionMissions indeed. Gm's seem to push out the easiest. Lol

We used an oscillating saw too take out the front and rear windows on my brother's Buick century and worked like a charm and for the windows we just unbolted them from the track. We did it that way cause we don't have a garage and we build our cars in my backyard so we can't hammer out windows

Yes I really enjoyed that car. But I did not enjoy the days of welding spent on that haha
