2003 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom Review

I had a 2002 model from new, sold it 96,000 miles later and it was still going strong. Build quality was OK, though the engine cases were decidedly corroded after 8 winters. It did everything I wanted, it commuted,toured and scratched. Loved every mile I ever did on it.

i took my old lady as a first bike at 20k km, now still running great 50k km, love every km im doin with her, comfy, fun in the turn, big engine, it's just a friendly bike that you cant resist but to love her (i also have a zx10r from 2007, it's an hard choiche everytime i get to pick which one to use for the week end ride)

Engine is a real diamond , but brakes and suspension need immediately upgrading. The bike doesn't stop and sometimes riding becomes dangerous. Also, sprockets need to be changed. Using 16 Teeth front and 43 Teeth rear you could make a great combination "giving" the sense of more power and torque. I like this bike. It is decent and a total " made in japan " machine !!

It will absolutely give sportbikes fits, right up until you hit the top speed of about 120 mph or so.

@@richkeylor787I bought 2002 vstrom 1000 last summer and I did 750 kms in one day on my first road trip it is indeed a good bike. Toms of power and rides smooth on open highways
