In the US we have to unlock them with an air powered switch. There are situations when raising the bed when the bottom stays locked, so automatic opening doesn’t always work.

If he had the newer dump trucks with the retractable tailgate that has its ownsmal cylinder, he might have been able to use that to sit himself back on the ground! It probably would gave had damage, though! Aye, but I love the bed on that truck. I am a huge fan of steel tall body dump trucks. They are much sexier than the steel low beds.

First of all, as everyone else said, unlock the gate first. Secondly, it looks set up somehow. The dump was extended, but then the dump retracted quickly, causing the front to lift. Had they not retracted it, as they did, it wouldn't have happened.
