I had a new 04 Cobra in Comp Orange. I put about 25k miles on it over 10 years then I sold it to get a new 14 GT 500 in black with white stripes. I liked the Terminator and thought it was a really well engineered car. Setting aside the power difference and engine tech advances however, I would say the 14 is a higher quality build. Ford went through a corporate holy war to improve the quality of their vehicles starting back in the mid 2000's and my Shelby shows it. The other issue I would mention is that the Termi has an iron block and you could feel the power decline with the heat soak in warm weather. Not so with my 14 and it's aluminum block. Also had some other QC issues with the 04...squeaky steering rack and a drive shaft drone (had to have the driveshaft indexed.) Zero quality issues with the 14 other than the recall of the Claymore airbags. BTW, this may shock some people but an original exhaust 03-04 Terminator had a relatively quiet exhaust (which I liked), nowhere near as loud as the 13-14. At full throttle, the blower drowned out the civilized exhaust roar of my 04.

Loved the Vids! I have a '14 GT500 as well! Sterling Gray Metallic, SVT Package Tech Package, Glass Roof, and Recaros to top it off. I'm concerned at 4:47 what was that screeching noise? Belt possibly? Rear end? That was a rapid 1st gear pull so I was curious to see if you've looked into it??

Yeah the music was just to cover up the noise of the camera slider, otherwise there would be a lot of grinding noises. I wouldn't ever cover up exhaust or anything like that with music. Appreciate the feedback.

The reason the GT500 looks not as appealing as the Corba is because it's bone stock, huge wheel gaps and the black color cannot hold a candle to the Sonic Blue Cobra. But, but, but, given some love, S197 has the most iconic body of all Mustang generations.
