Kris Kin was heavily backed on course, opened at 12/1, went 10/1, and then 8/1. At off time his price had contracted further and the SP returned was 6/1 such was also the support from the offices.

Backed Alamshar in this, a bit annoying that he went on to prove to be the best horse in the race come the end of the season but this day belonged to Stoute, Fallon and Kris Kin.

One of the best Darby rides of all till fallon never panicked bit of a Lester piggott about it.

Still cant understand Norse Dancer's ride.

He came there with a sweeping run but the camber takes them towards the rail and Johnny Murtagh's whip was in Norse Dancer's face and horses won't run into a whip. If Norse Dancer had been able to stay a bit higher up the camber to be away from the whip then I don't think his run would have petered out as much as it did in the end.
