2004-2008 FORD F150 REAR BUMPER PAD INSTALLATION

When install this bumper pad, you will need to do it from center to the end with the rubber head hammer. Don't start from end to end.

It looks like he didn't do it right cause the plastic didn't want to stay down so I'm assuming he bent one of the tabs

I can probably leave my bumper on and only replace the pad? My pad is broken and barely on. So If I just lift it off then slam the new one on. Correct?

If you can get the tabs out without breaking them, you can reuse the bumper pad. I've never been successful at getting the tabs out. Ford continues to piss me off with their absolute shitty parts.

+Jeff Hahn Thanks for info...I'll let you know when I get chance to do it. I want to peel off bumper pad, then sand and paint bumper and reinstall pad. Hopefully I can do it!? Is there an epoxy someone might recommend if the tabs break to adhere it to the bumper then!?? I'm not buying new one cause they cant design one to be reused.

what company did you buy the bumper pad? I bought one and it was too short ... I have a 2005 F150 FX4, styleside, with tow and back up sensors.
