You would definitely want the hitch receiver detached to paint. Normally, you do not have to remove the bumper to install a hitch receiver so depending on the application - you wouldn't need to remove the bumper as well.

Hi have a 2015 and someone back into it and now it a nice dent a section of of it the align to the top and where the license plate goes.. I love my truck and hate this dent. Is it easier to place the whole bumper or can I bend the dent back into place.. Thank you in advance for any insight

RoJane ChandlerBond: This would depend on many different factors such as the truck, if it has sensors, etc, and the experience of the person(s) doing the work. That would also go for re-installing an after market bumper.
