I just got crew cab 2009 z71 and i can't be any happier....reliable, practical, decent on gas, rides like a truck, good suspension, good for it's price.. I would upgrade to a 2015 model in the near future. There's something about the Colorado that has an all American truck look to it.

i have a 05 chevy Colorado 4 door , Its real nice ! i have it on size 31 tires always fun to go off roading. its always fun seeing big trucks get stuck in the snow when i drive thru it like nothing lol

2012 was the last year of the 355 bodystyle. I got my 2009 regular cab model LT that is 2WD 4 cylinder and 5 speed. I got 27 MPG with it. The trick is driving on the highway at 55 MPH with the cruise control set and have a tonneau cover.

Mine has the 2.8 paired with the 5 speed and 2WD. It had manual windows and manual lock. The truck DOES feature cruise control which surprises me. Mine is the "LS" trim. Regular cab, short bed. Nice truck.

I bought a 2011 Colorado with 2.9 5 spd 4wd . I wished that they would pair a 5 cyl with the 5 spd, but they don't. It was an inexpensive truck with 0 % financing. Complaints include: no 5 cyl with 5 spd and a noisy cabin ride when driving over 55 mph. I get around 26 mpg (combined mileage).

It's a good looking lil truck both inside and especially outside. Seems to have good engines. Unfortunately I'm a Ford guy and can't really see myself falling for a lil Chevy... but I like it nevertheless. I give Chevy props for doing a complete overhaul and "re-designing" the "s10". Something Ford NEVER bothered to really do with the Ranger for 2 decades. They left it to die and I hate that.

The Colorado also comes in a 4-door Crew Cab configuration that's not available on the Ranger.

I have an 04 ext cab ls with the 3.5 173k and still going strong if this one ever dies I'll be getting another straight away awesome trucks even with the all terrain tires I run on it still handles well and fuel mileage is good would recommended to anyone looking for a smaller sized truck

Got a 2005 reg 4cyl and surprisingly it is really sporty with the right tires. Definitely an A+ but of course the tacoma steals the spotlight because of toyota paying automotive journalists off

Look at crash-vid Colorado 2005 with the ex-cab and compare to the crew-cab. The front wheel on the crew-cab travel at least 10 more " into pass-compartment than on ex-cab when impact. At least produce the same rate safety in what should have been the strongest cab

idk if you bought your tuck yet, ranger is a good truck, but colorado is Years ahead ! worlds of difference ! but a nissan frontier is also a good midsized choice.

The Colorado is a little bigger (more of a midsize pickup than the truly compact Ranger) -- and it's also available with a V8 engine from 2009 on. All of the Colorado's engines (in addition to the V8, there's a 2.8-liter 4-cylinder and 3.5-liter 5-cylinder) offer more power than the Ranger's comparable engines (2.3-liter 4-cylinder, 3.0-liter V6 or 4.0-liter V6), though the Ranger's 2.3-liter 4-cylinder offers the best fuel economy by far.

I know the inline 5 is the most common but is the inline 4 any good? Im looking to trade my inline 5 with 156,000 for an inline 4 with 46,000 but its a 2012 and they want around 12,000 for it

Its a compact truck, not midsized. Show me a compact truck? there are none currently being built. This is it :) if the old Toyotas were being produced, then this would be larger, yet still not midsized. a true midsized truck would have to be around the size of the the extinct Dodge Dakota. That fills the bill.

The 3.5 motors had head problems on some of them which were originally covered under warranty. The 3.7's were supposedly the better motor. Grab a 5.3 V8 model like mine....you'll love it.
