It was supposed to be an easy fix, however, it turned out nightmare job when I found that two screws on the lock actuator assembly were difficult to remove.
I ended up to destroy the screws and proceeded replacing the motor. The replacement was a super easy job. I ordered a motor from DIGI-KEY, including shipping and tax it was $9.71. The part number is P14346-ND. STANDARD MOTOR 12850 RPM 12VDC. www.digikey.com
If you want to replace the not only motor, but lock actuator assembly, here is a list of it.
Parts number 85620-08061
OEM parts (Genuine TOYOTA parts)
amzn.to/2JBfcyF
Not OEM
amzn.to/2jfaM5x
Toyota Sienna Sliding Door Parts List from Amazon
amzn.to/2wnf9Ss
I was going to finish this fix within an hour, however, it took me 3 hours because of just the two of refused to be removed stubborn screws. At the end, I made a hole on the steel panel to secure the lock actuator assembly. Hope this video will help you repairing the same issue.

Hi Teddy, thank you so much for this video. I watched your video carefully., and did it. Your suggestion fixed the problem! You're the MAN! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you! I had already taken the two doors apart and replaced the motors that move the doors. One had a frayed pull line. I ordered the two motors you suggested for two doors from DigiKey for $18.90, which included tax and shipping. Yes, they were under $5 each even in 2023. Knowing about the two screws that had Loctite on them, I just drilled them out right off the bat, as lessons learned are bridges burned, you only need to cross them but once! I did the project in about an hour. I'll do the other one tomorrow. Wifey will be very very happy.

Hey Teddy, your video on the Sliding door cable helped me tremendously. Thank you for that. I have another problem, however. I need to replace part 69200-08011. That is the door latch actuator. The actuator that pulls the door closed that last half inch. Do you have some instructions on how to remove that part?

Hello & H N Year 22 after I've insalled the R side cable , it is a little hard to pull by hand & had a kind of crunching noise . i did lubricate it so well & I have not tried it by the motor yet. Is it normal ? I bought it about $ 98 from amozon . Also I changed the hinges on both side , the cable assembly for the left it comes on sunday 1/9/22 . Do u think if i release those black covers which the cables pass inside of them . I am talking about those plastic which snaps on the top of the motor cover . if I I snap them loose the slide door gets easer to pul ? Thanks

Hi Teddy, thanks for the video. my 2010 passenger door cable snapped and my mechanic replaced the cable and motor. $$$. Now I am having similar problem like you did. When I press the inside buttons, it makes some noise and move an inch or so. It will open and close if I help it glide it open or close, like you did. Did my mechanic replaced the actuator motor or the main motor. Are there two motors in the door? Hard to believe that little actuator is the only motor to work the door. I went to dealer for some issue and mentioned my problem. He asked me if it make some noise and don't open or close, but it moves a little. I said yes, and he said it's probably the "something" motor. that'll be $300.00. Please tell me there are two motors in the door. I would take a stab at what you did to save some money. If it weren't for the stubborn screws, did you have to remove the whole panel off the door? I couldn't do the cable assembly, but I think I can do this replacement. Thanks for the great video.

The noise of my door came from jammed up cable. The outside plastic tube wrapped around the cable broke and each time the motor tried to spin to pull the cable, its makes noise, and the door stopped right there. The main motor to pull the cable is only one, and other motor is for the door lock, it is small one. Easiest way to see what is going on is open up the door and see the inside with your eye. Hope you will be able to fix the problem.

I'm trying to do this repair on my Sienna and I'm having the same problem. I can't get the screws out on the actuator. How did you remove the black panel from the sliding door?
@teddyhashee
@teddyhashee 5 жыл бұрын
Black panel is attached by the screws to the door. So you need to remove all cables connected to the black panel, then remove the screws. Also you need to hold the window glass by using tape to the on top of the door edge or car body itself. Otherwise, when you remove the black panel, the window glass will shoot down to the bottom of the door. Be careful to remove it.

@@johnwayne397 This was my second time to opened up the door and remove necessary parts to repair. So probably I knew that I did not remove some cable or parts in order to work around. But if you need to this type of work, you'd better remove all connected parts in order not to broke them.

@@teddyhashee no I'm saying u failed to show us how u took the panel off u could recorded the hole thing u went from the first bolt to being played on the ground....any ways...since i didnt know how to take the panel off without breaking....I got everything off except the regular 2 bolts connected to the window....and a few cables... cause I tried to reach around the back and unscrew the screws like one guy did with the panel half way open but the screws stripped and it had loctite so I left the panel on but before doing so i tried to get to the 2 bolts of the regulator by moving the window up and down with button but the panel was hanging while doing that and I popped something....all I see is this metal bar that sticks out sideways on the back end of the regulator its hanging like a tail but it still works without it 95% so I didnt wanna try to take the panel off to make it worse....so I put it back on rebooted what I could.....and did what u did and destroy the screws pull the motor out except I did it parallel while the panel was bolted onto the door then I measured a series of drill bits until I found one just snug enough to slide through the wholes of the new motor and through the whole of the panel to keep the motor kinda fixed in place.....the I pressed up against the motor with one hand and dowsed the sides of the motor with super glue that didnt work well then I used quick grip contact cement and it worked it's basically clear rubber now holding it in place....and gorilla tape

On the backside of that black panel is the window actuator mechanism. It is bolted to the window glass with 2 bolts. You need to remove two black plastic plugs from the front of that black panel before you begin to remove it. After removing the interior panel, you remove those plastic plugs, and the lower the window while watching through the plug holes. At a certain window height, you can see the glass bolts line up, and you can unbolt them. View one of the cable replacement videos… they show this step in detail. However, if you are replacing the actuator, I’m not yet convinced you have to take that much apart to do the job. Am trying it this weekend without all of that. I have replaced cables 3 times already (and they keep breaking if you don’t replace the actuator as in this video!)

Darn it! my sliding door lock actuator is not working again. I bought a cheap actuator from eBay two years ago and now it's stopped working. Who was this stupid genius designed this very bad device, a tiny motor?? Not to mention that they made it also frickin' difficult to take it apart and to replace it. 🤬🤬
