It is so interesting listening to these old John tapes with the knowledge 20 years later that he’s an actual moron, and was a glorified receptionist, making people think he was a writer.

you're gonna have the peanut butter soup with smoked duck and mashed squash. New York Matinee called it "a playful but mysterious little dish." You'll love it. And then the red snapper with violets and pine nuts.

John was the worst. He always thought he was on the level with EVERYONE else on the show. And he was the bottom feeder. He never got that.

Turns out he was the better option vs diddy. Crazy how he was saying alot of them are gay and it sounded like a joke. Maybe he was being serious and its alot more believable with everything coming out.

Lazy, do nothing Stuttering John, I can just see Gary and KC pressured to get things done during the commercial break and the phone answerer SJ goofing off because he had nothing to do with the production of the show, he was a punchline.

No it’s clearly understood it’s called racial comedy, some of the funniest comedy bits and jokes by the greatest comedians ever were about white people, asian, hispanic, etc. The best ever imo, Richard Pryor did the funniest white impression ever.

@@willyoung4533 glad someone gets it. People ignore how hard Howard & Gilbert went into the Jewish jokes and humor about the entire culture and religion yet theyre both very Jewish themselves. Or how they’d lay into the Asians and Italians and everyone else whenever it was relevant. There’s a difference between being a racist and doing racial comedy. Howard got pissed off and took Robins real estate agent aside when they arrived to NYC because he thought that they were being racist toward Robin.
