Same here. I expected all the lights to be lit up and at least 20 codes.

So I've spent the past 2 months trying to troubleshoot my problem of car dying while driving and not being able to start again. Anyways, I had watched your video with the chipmunk nest a little while back and thought "come on, there's like very little chance that this would issue would happen to others." Well, I went to take a look at the Jet Siphon Pump and lone behold there's a next and the little shit chewed thru a wire!" Thanks for posting your video!

No problem. I post videos to help others like yourself as well as just to share the experiences I have in the shop. Glad you were able to locate your issue.

After watching your video I checked my wiring and had the same issue

No parts required FTW 😁 Now you have enough gas to drive it to the crusher haha

Ha. I might have a buyer for it so we will hold off a few more weeks before turning it into beer cans.

I noticed a lot of you guys aren't connecting a battery charger maintainer when you run the scanner. I connect the charger maintainer first and make sure every battery is fully charged as well before the car leaves the shop.We use the Fronuis Battery charger.

Everybody loves a challenge. That car is definitely one. $400? Perhaps you overpaid. Haha. Thank you for sharing.

If I fix everything that’s wrong it could turn into a $10,000 car real quick. Bad thing thing is the resale value is about $2200-3000 with the torn seats. Still, the car is fun to drive and get decent mileage.

It was more likely a squirrel's Nest not a rat nest the cause of the problem was not rectified the squirrels would do it again
@ThePracticalMechanic4 жыл бұрын
I think your right. The nest looked more like a squirrel or chipmunk and not a mouse.

I have a 2004 BMW 330i. The fuel gauge does not work. It used to work. The yellow empty light is one and the needle is all the way to the left. I did the BMW Instrument Cluster Hidden Test Functions and the fuel gauge needle rolled all the way to the right and back to the left. So that part is fine. I have already replaced the fuel pump and the sensor unit. I had a mechanic to check it too and all checked out fine. I checked the wires and connector on the left behind the drivers seat leading to the fuel sensor, and there doesn't appear to be any broken wires. My next move will be to get my multimeter and check the wiring connector. So, other than that, I am at my wits end with what could be the problem. I am open to suggestions.

Hey did you ever find the solution? Experiencing a similar issue on my 2003 BMW 325xi SULEV, we swapped the tank with a 318i SULEV, noticed a bit of corrosion on the fuel gauge relay so I just ordered a new one but I don't know if that is the issue or its a programming issue maybe...
