2004 CBR1000RR Speedo Healer Install

A little quick guide on installing a SpeedoHealer V4 on a 2004 Honda CBR1000RR. Hopefully this helps some people. This video is primarily for those who don't know where, or how to get to the speed sensor ontop of the transmission of the bike.

Is tank removal absolutely necessary to get to the speed sensor? Or is it just easier to take the extra steps and give yourself more room to work?

Unfortunately yes, thankfully removing the tank isn't too hard. I'd love to double check for you but the bike was stolen a few months after I made this video.

Thanks for the video, really helpful, I managed to balance the tank at an angle rested on some rags, without disconnecting. I hoped it might work and did for me. Sorry to hear about your bike.

I'm sure you already did it, but, for anyone else reading, you don't have to remove the tank. Leave the back two bolts on the tank, and lift the front of the tank up, it'll 'pivot' on the rear bolts, then just use a stick to hold the tank up. Just installed one on my 04 1000 today.

How accurate is the speedo after the install? My stock one with +2 teeth on the rear reads about 10% high.

It's surprisingly accurate, mine was within 1-2km/hr around 120 I believe it was on the high side. I would test it for you, but the bike was stolen a few months after I made the video. Also sorry for the late resonse. Didn't notice the notification. :/

lol this from over a year ago but if you see this. did you ever notice your odometer going faster than the trip actually is? cause mines like double. bikes gonna be worth nothing and i just bought it in this market at higher miles already
