Ya’ know? I’m glad there are other car nerds out there that can discuss these things with me. It’s comforting in this day and age.

My dad gave me his old work truck. 05 Colorado,3.5,2wd, sitting at 450k miles. The auto trans is just now showing issues. Aside from coil packs, and water pumps, it's been a reliable truck.

Ive owned a 05 since 2015 a extended cab 5 cylinder 2wd and its been a great truck. Never leaked or caused me issues in the past 200k (has 330k now) the brakes are kinda annoying to change but thats one of my biggest gripes. Far superior to my 91 s10 in every way

My 06 Canyon is almost at 143k miles, and the only major thing that has taken a dump was the AC. Good truck right there

I like how “Isuzu” wasn’t mentioned one time. Unless, I missed it.

Same with the Isuzu ascender video..they say the 4.2L I6 is borrowed from the trailblazer....but the 4.2L engine was built by Isuzu...

Great truck. I still have my 2011 with the 3.7 five-cylinder engine. It's awesome.

I have had the 2006 extended cab model with the 2.8 and auto transmission for a little over a year now, other than routine maintenance and replacing older more worn out parts here and there it has been a great little work truck, definitely not a power house with the 4 cylinder but its not terrible on gas compared to my full size truck and its overall not a bad truck for what little money I have in it and still runs and drives really good for having 228k miles too.

Chevy needs to bring this compact truck back

2.8L. That is huge for a 4 cylinder engine. I thought Toyota had the biggest 4 cylinder engine in their 1st generation 4Runner; I believe the size was at 2.7L.

I Had one. Gutless like fords 3.0 v6

I think Porsche had the largest in production with their 3.0L 968 engine. However, that was a passenger car and not a truck. 🤷🏻

After 3 years the frame rails bent at the back of the cab... i never towed or haul'd heavy... The 5 cyl engine leaked oil at the pan twice, then I had a head gasket leak... pile of turd

Worse truck ever made. I did so many recalls and bulletins on these shit boxes it was crazy! Like the misfire code to replace the head and valves. Horrible engines that were weak against the 4.3 V6. The S-10 was a great mini truck. I had a 89 S-10.

Those Atlas 6 derived inline 5 cyl engines in the Colorado/Canyon and H3 are great. You can straight pipe them and they'll literally sound like a lower revving Audi TT RS or Lamborghini Gallardo.

Must be why I'm at 300k miles with my inline 5 after getting absolutely abused 😂
