I wanted to buy from you years ago, but never did. I ended up getting a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. In trying to mimic you, I ended up doing a lift, better tires, etc... I never went as far as doing the wonderful handywork you do on the interior though. I was very happy to see you dabble with the platform in some of your videos, but sadly it appears you have decided not to really promote the Envoys/Trailblazers as an option. I ended up selling my Envoy about a year ago and picked up a 2018 FPIU, Ford Police Interceptor Utility, aka, a former cop car. I've done the same treatment as you do to yours, again sans the nice interior. It has a 2 inch lift, AT tires, solar on the roof, solar generator inside, bed, etc... just nothing fancy to "look nice". Given the plentifulness of cop cars across the country, have you ever considered having an off-shoot of your company being one that works on used FPIUs? Yes, offroad prowess on these explorer-clones won't be as decent as the suburbans, or the GMT 360/370 platform (Envoy, Trailblazer, etc...). But, I feel they may be a nice middle ground of vehicle for "light" offroading whilst camping, especially since it appears you aren't going with the Envoys/Trailblazers as your smaller options. Maybe, aim them at buyers that are more likely to be city-folk? If this is something you've ever considered, I'd be happy to come up to you with mine so you can do some measurements and test fitting and such. (Aka, I am looking for ideas on places to go for this winter, and wouldn't mind having some "pretty work" done on inside too.)

Love this build. Hoping for you to do a similar build to my 03 z71 one day. 🤞🏽Are there good reasons to use 16" wheels vs 17"? Is it just preference or are there performance reasons?

Thanks! Our most common is 16 or 17. It's just what most came with from the factory. If I get a vehicle with 20" or more I usually will swap them from smaller rims. You want as much tire as possible for offroading
