Hey Reuben! I owned a 2000 Doral 270 SC for 12 years. I believe this was the replacement for it. If well maintained it would be an excellent boat for someone interested in this design. I preferred it to the same size SeaRay. Mine had a 300 HP gas engine and custom diesel NextGen 3.5 Kw genset installation. Best range in it's class with very large black and fresh water tanks. Took it up and down the US east coast and into Canada. Cheers!

How does this differ from a Doral 250 SE? Or are they both basically the same?

Could this be used on rivers and what would the litres per hour be at such low speeds? Would the engine be happy at such low speeds?

Old comment but I dont see why you couldnt run at low speed. Rivers.. sure, why not. Liter per hour depends heavily on what speed you are going, what speed did you have in mind? That being said, if you just want river and low speed usage, numbers wise it isnt the best compared to a boats more dedicated for those duties.
