Agreed. It's funny that many people viewed this as a grandpa car back in the day -- along with the Suzuki Ignis which is a fairly similar concept -- and now they keep buying this type vehicle :D Okay, maybe small crossovers have evolved in terms of styling and suspension tuning since then, but the concept -- like you said -- is basically the same. :D

It says a lot when the two best selling Ford models up until recently are endangered with one of them already ending production at the end of its life. the Puma seems to be the big seller for Ford now although the chip shortages haven't helped.

I was living for 6 years in Lithuania. It is one of the best cars i was driving there which handle the snowy bumpy roads there.... Especially the 1.4 diesel engine which was turning without any problems

La fusion rassemble les nombreuses qualités d'une Ford Fiesta, avec plus de place. Cette voiture n'a pas connu un gros succès en France, et je trouve cela dommage. As always, i'm fascinated to discover new cars that i didn't know they existed. In Canada, Ford introduce in 2005 the Ford Fusion as a rebadged Ford Mondeo. In my head, a Ford Fusion is a sleek comfortable sedan with all-wheel drive, but for you, it's a budget hatchback.

In 05 the Fusion for the North American market was based on a Mazda 6 (CD3), in 2013 is when the Fusion started to share the platform with the Mondeo. Otherwise the only other Mondeo we got in the North American markets were the Contour/Cougar and their varieties.

My Grandad had a 2004 EO04JWZ Fusion 3 1.6i 16v about 144k miles when he got rid thx for a good memory 👍 99bhp 1.6 quite rare in Britain now days to find a fusion in red (pre facelift) underestimated

That's because we had a Ford Mondeo (european market name for the Fusion). This one is clearly based in the Fiesta "Rocam" we had for more than 10 years in our market.

To confused viewers (which i was once too lol) the "Ford Fusion" you see here is actually the European Ford Fiesta that had a slightly longer wheelbase and extra rear windows in order for Ford to market it as a mini-mpv,and interestingly enough has nothing to do with the American Ford Fusion which is a mid size sedan/saloon car that has no connection between each others (sort it out with your naming convention Ford) 🤣.

Nope, Fusion was a separate model in Europe, however its very close to the Fiesta. Fiesta (the small 3 or 5 door B segment hatch version) was also sold in Europe. In my country this Fusion was never popular.
