This relay has history of going down and stopping electric fuel pump from working! I am getting a spare so thanks for showing location! James

Been chasing this intermittent problem for months! Tapped the relay just like you showed in the video and started right up. I had no clue where relay was located. Awesome video! Thank You so much!!

Main relay in my 2004 Odyssey was the problem. I was able to re-solder it. No cost. Located above the brake peddle.

yeah I had this issue too- found cracks in the soldering when I pulled it out. bought a referb from a wrecker. Pulled mine out anyway and found cracks in the solder- re-soldered it threw it back in and no more fuel pump stalling!

Watched someone else's video for an '05 (I have an '03 & an '04) thinking it would be the same, and it is definitely NOT. So thank you, thank you, thank you, for straightening me out! :)

What was the reason you were replacing the relay?
@babyrub56 жыл бұрын
hi Justin. sorry for the late answer. my oddy was not turning on it was cranking it wouldn't turn over that's why I replaced the pump relay but that was not the problem it was a bad 10A fuse.

Please consider redoing with your phone horizontal! The way you did it I can't tell anything from your video. Plus you also have to have someone pull back to give context.

so how does a 66 year old man contort his body enough to get under the dash to replace it! Maybe remove the front seat? Every once in a while my 99 Odyssey will stall. After a few attempts, it will restart after a few attempts then be fine for a few months. Hate having an unreliable car. Some research indicates there's a solder point that eventually goes bad on the relay which can be replaced or re-soldered. I'd like to be able to pull it and have a look at but not sure I can get to it.

Brian K Kinney hi Brian, I wish I have a good answer to you. all can think is getting a bench same height of the entrance of the car and seat on it and lean ur back on the floor. or like you said removing the seat but it can be a lot of work doing that. I wish you good luck
@duathlete8276 жыл бұрын
@@babyrub5 Thanks for your reply. I was half way kidding but your suggestion is a good one. I'm also 245 lbs so it's a pretty tight space to lay down in.
