I believe you will find that coolant line going to that carb is not to keep it cool, it is actually there to warm the carb for better fuel vaporization during cool weather. I use Simple Green HD in my ultrasonic cleaner. Never had a problem with discoloration of any carbs. The zinc content is what causes the discoloration. The FD620 is a great engine. I have two of them. One in my 425 Deere, and the other I put on my Grasshopper. I rebuilt the one in my 425 after I got it. The engine was so worn that I had to have it bored oversize, replace the crank, and even change the carb body out because the throttle shaft was worn so bad. You could push the pistons side to side nearly 1/32”. But the engine still ran fine, was just pushing oil out past the crank seals due to excessive blowby. Tough little motors!
@TheHomePros6221 Жыл бұрын
yes you are comepletey correct about the coolant line! I actually have 4 things rite now with fd620 engines I have this and a 425,445 and a jd gator, I like these engines they are simple to work on and reliable!

Just FYI the coolant that goes through carburetors or through manifold is actually designed to heat them not cool them. The evaporation of fuel creates a significant cooling effect and sometimes coolant is run through to prevent condensation and even potentially ice from forming

Kawasaki should offer those mods as factory options. They're well thought out, especially the crane. Also, there's something wrong with the audio channel, possibly the mic or low battery. There's a lot of IM distortion on high frequencies and impulse sounds. Very annoying/disconcerting. Consider using a professional on-body wireless mic.
