TheHerbaIist Yes, it's excellent. The exquisith outlay of the dash, the georgeous body design and the way you can powerslide this lil lambo with so much ease. And the sound of course. V10 is becoming rare these days in the enviro-hyped world. And it wasn't a wide spread engine already. Thank Audi for that!

The only mistake it has is a sports button and traction control. A real super car doesn't need that. The current cars are even worse. Nerd fests with 1000 gismos, 12.000 suspension, traction control or gear box settings and all kind of aids to control powerslides. Such as electronic powersteering. THey even come with start/stop systems!! Hybrids! the lunacy. Or a trick to use half the cyilinders. For fuel efficiency.... it's a super car for gods sake! I long back to the 90's. When Lambos, POrsche, Ferraris and Mclaren didnt had such dumbass shit. And they looked wallpaper worthy. Better, sexier, more curves. This Gallardo here is the last of a great league. Look at that 458, ghastly. Or the P1 (yugh) And unreliable too. It's electronics are so geeky, it lits itself on fire! The last real hypercar is the Bugatti Veyron.

No. Its not. The cars of today are a mistake. The 2004 cars at least had some beauty and simplicity in it. Not 5000 options how you want your ride or steering feel. This Gallardo with its magnificent Audi engine sound, it will always in my mind. Lime Green or this yellow, the best colors.

Of all the V10 cars there are (R8, Viper, LFA) the Gallardo is actually fastest on most tracks, thanks to its confidence-inspiring 4WD. The tendency to lift going around a corner to avoid oversteer is minimized. Yes the R8 is 4WD also, but it's quite slower in tight sections.

Pretty cool. Although I think if it were up to me, I would prefer one with a traditional manual transmissions, rather than one of those early sequential transmissions. From everything I've heard, they're horribly unrefined, very unreliable and astronomically expensive to fix.

No... the single clutch doesn't make it rough on purpose? It is rough purely because it is a single clutch and the technology at the time wasn't as advanced as it is currently. One of the main reasons dual clutch transmissions are praised are because of how smooth they are compared to jerky/rough single clutch.
