I was so disappointed after this game...Thank Goodness for the season we had in 2005. Also, little did we know, there were two NFL starters in the backfield for Minnesota.

Minnesota fans knew. :) Mason should still be the U of M coach.

We haven't recovered since the Maroney/Barber duo. For some reason the Gophers RB's always seem to make it to the NFL whether drafted or not.

Was here. Hats off to both teams for hell of a game. Minnesota had a great o line and two NFL caliber rb's that year. Back when bama had great talent but just couldn't close out games.

typical Shula team, the defense playing it's butt off to win the game and the offense trying it's best to lose it. nothing like watching Pennigton miss wide open receivers game after game.

I'm not sure it was even a jab to play Rocky Top. They were in Nashville and Rocky Top isn't exclusive to the Vols

Mike Shula might have been a good HC if he had started somewhere where expectations were lower until he got good at it. Glad he did not though because his inability to be consistently good got him fire and in comes Saban.

Its obvious he puts up every game he can get on here win or lose. I actually kind of appreciate seeing the games from era's where Alabama was mediocre, great way to remind you that the Saban years are special.
