@@simonassiaulys5385 No , not strange chose , they are always race on highway or some country side roads , Astra G's handling very good it beating in corner many car also they driving 2.0 136 hp version , that engine same as G OPC 1 z16xer ( 160 hp ) they can easy tuned improved to 160 hp. You can check some insane crazy Brazil driver channel here his channel name : Canal Highspeed , he was drive Astra g few year ago just find his Astra g race videos and watch , he sold his car because he pass the concrete bump very fast (80 km/h)

I have the 1.6 16V Twinport Caravan, for almost a half year and i have to say i love it. I was even driving a way more expensive car before i got crushed into. But This Opel´s Drive Comfort is so nice and smooth it feels like a tripple A Clas CAr. Also was lucky and got the Climatic version with Navigation and electrical Mirrors, and heating etc. so its a Cheap but really Comfort Car.

Best diesel i ever experienced is Opel Astra G 1.7DTI its Isuzu Engine and that explains why its so bullet proof. After 2 years sitting outside, 2 winters, oil hasnt been changed, the car starts up right away, a wonderful machine.

I am the second owner of an Opel Astra G 2.0 DTI 16v 2001 I've done new clutch, damper, shock absorbers.... It only has 100 hp but I love this car. Endurable and economical engine to maintain.

I just restored thé one of my dad 1998 1.4 16v. 330000 km. Well i changed suspension transmission brake all filter tires and she work marvelous. Led inside and old radio car with Jack and USB to allow bluetooth. I very happy of this car

Motor to Z14XE wg mnie mniej udany niż X14XE, dwie sondy, przepustnica ride by wire częstsze problemy ze sterownikiem silnika. Ale można trafić egzemplarz i do 300 tyś bezproblemowo. Obecnie te auta powoli ustępują ze sceny, już nie są tak popularne jak powiedzmy dekadę temu. Pozdrawiam 🇵🇱

If somebody asking That is TWINPORT verision with is so much slower than old 1,4 90. On normal 1,4 with 2002 year or before. At 140kph you have around 4200 rpm in 5 gear 100km/h its near 3000 130km/h is around 4000 -> gearbox was set for 130km/h like speed for autobahn and crushing without overloading engine. Normal 90hp have a little under 12 seconds up to 100km/h and quater mile (402m) is 18,1 sec.

1.4 Twinport consumes about half liter less, but it has zero torque below 2500 rpm. Performance-wise there is not much difference, for normal use with one person its perfectly fine, for a loaded car or in the hills (or highway use), these cars suck, especially the 1.4 liter (even 1.2 liter existed LoL)

@@dario6852 Twinport shift was because of the EU emission regulations, and it spoiled the fun of small petrol engines not only in Opels but in almost all cars on the market. The 90s were full of fun to drive small petrol cars. Anyways 1.4-1.6 twinports in my opinion are solid and economical, but if you want a fun car go somewhere else

The chasis was designed by Lotus. Engine is Isuzu and the bottom must be isolated against rust. Looks like my Astra G 1.7 CDTI. From 2004.

I owned this engine in a 2006 Astra H. Possibly the worst car I've ever had. All kind of breakdowns including the engine with only 5600 kms, changed in warranty time and lot of electric failures. In the first year the car had to be repaired at least fifteen times. After that I sold It and bought a second hand Toyota Corolla 1.8. Other world....good video Joe!!!

@@braino64 possibly you're right but the price of the 1.8.Elegance (there wasn't a 1.8 Enjoy version in that moment) was quite higher than the 1.4. And although the engine was problematic, at least mine, many other failures were produced by the electric system of the car that doesn't depend on the engine....

G jest nudny jak flaki z olejem ale nie nawala, części tanie, naprawy proste no i chociażby wymiana żarówek w 3 minuty:) H to już bardziej kłopotliwe auto, chociażby padające ECU (umiejscowili centralnie nad silnikiem 😂)

My dad has the 1.6i driven the car my self is ok car I guess problems is with the gas pump unter the back sit with it brake ez and it hard to replace and find new part or from the junkyard ifen U fix it car still won't start then the heand brake is getting luse I know because I experience my self on a hill road car was not powerful enough to go ifen on first gear man how I hate that bad memory do thet is the prob with this car also it's on black as well we have it meybe like 6or7yers meybe I don't know the year of the car it's caind like a special edition of the car it's something special at it it's making different sounds think it is 1.6 is ok car not so much if U live in small down this car is not for such city this car is for such open pleases open roads andbigere town and streets my uncle us Opel 1.4 and we have 1.6 it's better I guess at lest what my cosion.
