@deeplouisiana17 күн бұрын
In this country we also have plenty of reminders what happens when a mistake is made during these 'cool car moments'. That statistic also doesn't care about price points. In recent memory, there was this other 'passionate' guy who wrapped a Ferrari around a tree when he skid out of control in a bend. He wasn't alone in the car. In general, 2020 we had the second deadliest roads in EU. Things have somewhat improved since then, but still in TOP5, I believe. 'Cool car moments' are cool on closed private ( yeah, sure ) gravel roads, but this shit on a public road, in 70km/h zone, in low visibility, wet conditions, in a rusty uninsured death trap with god knows how old tires - I think is too much. Also not sure what the beer bottle is implying at the beginning - we are also in the top with drunk driving and related causalities statistics.

Hi ! The oversteer at high speed was the reason for the spoiler at the back of the ST variants. At the car launch engineering’s and drivers spoke about oversteer at high speed corner on the Nordschleife. And the chassis is well balanced, especially for a FWD car but it also seems spiky and can bite.
@manuelventura379917 күн бұрын
My Tdci also has a spoiler, I didn't know it was because of this, I have done some high speeds on it and the car is very planted with it
@MrKeksdose9917 күн бұрын
Back when I had my 1.6 as a first car, I ran it a couple of times on the nordschleife and I can confirm the spike oversteer. But I got used to it, nothing ever happened (in the dry) and it was very enjoyable to drive your FWD on the racetrack and looking out of your side windows 😂

@@projectxmotorsportIronic you should say that, because in the very same shot, just a minute before, his handbrake cable snapped (4:09). It looks like he's reaching for the handbrake but doesn't actually pull it - because it's no longer working.
@projectxmotorsport13 күн бұрын
@@jtr159 Did it break or not we can only speculate. You have a point, but. What I can tell you is that upon analyzing the video and sound of tires and car reaction, the handbrake DID work at that moment, when he pulled it and he did. I am not here to argue in a comment section and get into negative fights. I wanted to point out the fact that the handbrake did work, due to the reaction of the car, I just trust my experience and knowledge, but I could be wrong. The car didn't start it's transition to the opposite side and still had inertia going left, but the sudden reaction of the car, when he pulled the handbrake proves that the handbrake cable bite this time well and probably it didn't work previously due to various reasons. I would think the sudden loss of speed and weight shift got the car to snap, but it just didn't do that in time and still had inertia to the left, so when I saw the handbrake pull and instant reaction of the car and the specific reaction due to the handbrake. You can call it speculation, that's just my analysis brother. Happy New Year!

Mk2: I have it even tooday, its durable, kinda fast, Nice handling (Ford has one of the best handling cars on the market), its really good car worth 10x more than the price in vid (300€). Mk4 facelift: Looks really Nice, modern, Like a race car. Its also durable if you maintenance it, its fast, really good handling, stiff suspension, FVD, theres a plenty of Space in it... Ford makes better and better cars through generations and even Mk1 handles nice.
