0:26 You’re already *FIRED* up about the Flames scoring, but when you see this angle of the bench losing its shit, the digital boards flashing “GOAL” in that hyper fashion, and seeing the crowd in the background all jumping up & down… that sight gives me goosebumps… I’m not a Flames fan, but if you had watched this with a naked memory as to what this game was, you would’ve thought that goal had sent the Flame to the Stanley Cup Final… they did make the Final that year, I’d argue they were robbed of a cup, but this goal merely sent them to the next round of the playoffs, not the cup final! I can only imagine just how much louder this would’ve been had it been a Western Conference-winning goal, or for that matter that goal that never counted in game 6…

I'll never forget this goal. The Flames weren't even supposed to see Game 7 against Vancouver. Next series the attitude was "There's so no way they'll beat Detroit." Gelinas scored this goal, and every single person in the city was like We're gonna win the Stanley Cup. And as far as I'm concerned, they did.

They lost G7 vs Tampa. They were close to score tie-breaking goal, but it was too many power for shot, so Khabibulin caught the puck and threw it away
