Amazing how tough motorcycles are. If you know what your doing, you can get a crashed bike fixed relatively quick compared to a car

Dpeneds on a crash. You can't loop a car & if a bike slams into a guard rail. It'll be a write off as the frame will take alot of damage. Can only be welded by a pro if it's cracked.
@lanthan5982 жыл бұрын
it's honestly wild to me beyond belief that you can strip a motorcycle clean and know where all the wires, bolts and nuts and everything goes back meanwhile I'm too scared to even snip one wire off of my motorcycle lmao

Fantastic work! I have that same bike in my garage and love it. Such a beautiful design and the exhaust under the seat keeps your butt warm on cold nights. Not so great on warm days, but nothing a shower will not fix. Thank you for bringing it back to its original beauty. Makes me want to take mine out for a ride.

Such a nice work! I brought my R1 2004 in 2010 and have it still now. I love this bike with all my heard. It was my dream and come true. It was such a pleasure 2 watch you working on this bike and i learn an important thing. I do the oil change every spring by my own but never before i fill up the oilfilter when i change him. I will do this from now on becourse i think it is better for the engine if the oil is faster where it have to be. So thx from germany.

This is better than any ASMR ever! Gladly subscribed, looking forward to more vids! That generation of R1 is, and always will be, timeless looking. It's only second to the Big Bang restyled version (only because they removed the glass from the headlights). It still looks better than any modern R1 !

Excellent job Rob. Came out so nice. Consider getting in the habit of hitting a timer, physical or electronic, whenever you start work on a bike to make certain you are profitable. Lets call those billable hours. Once you've done a few, you'll be able to measure those hours into how much you actually earn an hour and ultimately become even more efficient in your process to achieve greater profitability. Just a thought. Again, great work and you've inspired me to pickup my first damaged bike!

Just did a R1 for my brother that was in a fire. Injectors, wiring harness, plastic, fuel pump... People don't realize how much time you get invested working on these. That is why people shouldn't freak when you say the dirty word 'profit'. Yours turned out great and glad you made some $$$ on the job.

I’ve done this to my 07 R1 after I hit a deer. Needed just about the same in rebuild/restore. While it was fun and I learned a lot with bikes (being a car guy my whole life) I must say one has to weigh what the cost in vs cost of the bike itself. Once you start buying OEM fairings, which they’re painted and is the only way to go, the price adds up quick. I mean quick. To fully restore my bike from a hit head on with a deer and road rash on one side it cost me around $2k in just parts. Most was OEM, several were aftermarket. And I did it all myself = $0 labor. So if you paid someone to do it then of course you’re looking at a way diff price. Take that and the price of looking around for another bike.
