also a great "step down" bike for old bikers(65yrs) like me ! i've got one and love it -easy to handle-comfortable, light -forgiving ride position , footboards , shaft drive, screen - a relaxing change from the honda blackbird 1100cc that was getting a bit much for me - It has the looks and scale of a big cruiser without the weight.

I just picked up an 03 Classic with 4900 miles for $2k. I'm going to service the drive shaft right away. As long as you keep up with the splines these things supposedly run forever with routine maintenance.

This looks like a much large bike then it appears. It's fast enough, and gets good gas mileage. (45 MPG)

I know my sister could handle a bike like a V Star 650. She use to ride a Shadow 500 all over.
