2005 - 2009 Ford Mustang Aftermarket Trim Blind PRNDL Indicator Fix S197

I replaced my broken trim blind with an ebay one like many of you did and then after it was all done, I realized that the aftermarket trim blinds do not include the PRNDL indicator part! This video shows my cheap and simple workaround to get the indicator back and still use the aftermarket trim blind. It may last a day or years, but so far, its working fine.

I took mine out to clean while I was changing the radio. Mine was sticking and I bought the same aftermarket piece as you. After cleaning I didn’t need it but I broke the indicator black plastic. I put electric tape but it didn’t look good. I used a piece of paint protection film I had around. It looks cleaner now. Great video! I will use the same technique if mine breaks.

Thanks for the idea. It’s pretty annoying that the 3rd party ones don’t have the indicator and that the only way to get a oem one is to buy a whole new shifter assembly for $150
