There once was a man named “in the shop”, Who warned us about how the coil springs could drop. Whilst debating the install-seeing as it could fall, I decided as an amateur I would not. When a year later thinking about who had won, I thought how this project could have been fun. It came as a surprise, and disappointed was I, as I remembered my truck was leaf sprung...

I did the same level. Everything went smooth just my axel is off like 3/4” on the drivers side? How can I fix this? I’m thinking an alignment since it’s not major. Also I see other people say it’s not going to do anything bad

👌🏽 clean video! You make it look too easy! Question should the coils and rubbers be marked before removing or is there no wrong way to reinstall the coils?

Can you just put new 2.5” coils in and avoid putting the spacers in? If you do this would you also need to get struts that are 2.5” level ?

Keep the videos coming young man, I enjoy watching em.

Hi, I have a question about a 2005 F250. I seem to be going through front wheel bearings, frequently. My mechanic has replaced each side at least 4 or 5 times within the last few months. Seems it’s a known problem, but have not found a solution. You seem very knowledgeable and was wondering if you have run across this problem yet. Thanks
@InTheShop4 жыл бұрын
I would start by finding out what brand of bearing is being used. Also does the truck have any modifications such as big wheels or tires? What symptoms are you having when they fail?
@tealforester48264 жыл бұрын
In The Shop thanks for the quick reply. They’ve used at least 3 different brands. Including Ford Oem. No suspension or tire mods. The last time only 2 weeks ago put in both sides, Ford EOM, after three days I can hear and feel the hum. Mostly while slowing down. On other forums, people are saying they’ve replaced 10, 15 and over 20 before they find a “good one “ I’m just city driving now. It happens if hubs are locked if not. Very confusing... thanks
@tealforester48264 жыл бұрын
Also, this is the larger outer bearing, not the small axle bearing.
@InTheShop4 жыл бұрын
In all my years working on fords I have never seen them fail that quickly. Even with bottom of the barrel parts. I would take it for a second opinion personally. Something is being missed. I wish I could help you more but without seeing or driving the truck it would be almost impossible to know what’s causing it.

In The Shop thanks! We’ve been researching this problem, it’s happened before. We’ll keep looking for answers! Thanks again and have a great day!!!

Why should you pick me as the winner of the leveling kit giveaway? well simply because I’m broke as f*cking shit. Now this is solely due to my impulsive decision to purchase a 6.0L, even after multiple people warning me to stay away from them (which just made me want it that much more), and now I waste every dollar earned on my pile of scrap metal. I do love my truck and wouldn’t trade her for the world, but no one told me I would have to declare bankruptcy in the first 6 months of owning it... Oh and great video by the way! This video would be perfect for me to watch before installing a leveling kit IF I had any money leftover after all the other daily truck expenses I already pay for!!
@InTheShop5 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you are married but if you are you can use this comment as evidence that you did not pay for your leveling kit. Fortunately leveling your truck will increase its value so you may be able to take an equity loan against the truck putting off the bankruptcy for at least another week or two.... You sir are the winner!!! Email me Nathansgarage1@gmail.com to claim your prize!!!
