Following your path, I found my issue was that the clutch pedal switch fell off of its mount. Now I have a spare starter. Big thanks for your help solving my problem.

Hello, on the side of the fusebox I see two wires with a boldt. What are they? Looking at them, I see a lot of corrosion in the wire. Let me explain this to you. I parked the car at 4 pm and went into the house. The next day I went to start the car, I put the key into the Ignition and as usual, all the lights on the dash came on. But when I continued to try to start it, I heard no sound. Nothing clicking from the starter. Or anything. I got out, raised the hood, and put jumper cables on the battery from another car. Got in the escape, turned the key, and still the lights came on, But nothing happened. I heard no sound, no clicking or anything. Out of frustration, I let the hood slam back to the locked and closed position. I got into the car to get the keys, and something said try to start at 1 last time. I turned the key and the car started. What do you think the problem could have been? Thanks for reading my note. Love your wire diagram

Just fixed my no start no crank battery works by replacing the 2amp fuse - pcm. Holy cow that feels good. It's fuse #5. All other fuses were fine. Dang 🎉

Thank you. I do have a question, which fuse is for the car alarm on a 2005 Ford Escape Limited?? And can a Car parts store test it?? My car alarm keeps going off and I suspect a bad fuse, at the very least I want to check it. My car battery is only a couple of months old. I thought that might be the problem since it was near it's lifes end, and it did seem to help for a little while but then it started going off again.

If I've lost the ignition key and have a key without the one chip that unlocks the door and will turn the ignition switch will the car start by turning the key on and manually engaging the starter

What if it will not start, dash lights come on, starter does not even engage or click or do anything, then sometimes 2 min later, it starts right up normal? Where should I look for issues first?

Awesome, thank you. My car rolls over a couple cranks only. Sounds like dead battery but new, charged and charger on it. When I pull out my key, the gauges fissed and went nuts for a couple seconds. So will check this all out, terrific job.

I am looking at 2005 Escape the battery light on the dash. I replaced the original one a month ago and last night it came on again last night. Car running engine on idle with multi-meter less than 12v clean battery terminals, try again still only 11.77V. Replaced original removing passenger front axle etc. reassembled and light went out good to drive. Three weeks later same light comes on and voltage has dropped again?? Have to pull it apart again to have the rebuilt bench tested. But just wanted to see if there is something I’m missing! Thanks in advance any help would be great I know the parts store found my old one on the core shelf. Luckily it was still there but I will end up paying the mechanic to remove the rebuilt, and charge me again to reinstall it. He is quite good at the R&R but still 4hrs. I have to pay for but would really like not pulling the 1 month old rebuilt out if I don’t have to.

THANK YOU!! I replaced the Damm starter before I saw this video 😢 Now all bruised and feeling let down because the truck still won't turn over... I checked all fuses. They were fine. Swapped the relay with its neighbor, like you said and IT STARTED!! YAY🎉😂 Again! Thank you!!

I have a 2005 automatic escape. All fuses are good, switched diode, changed out relay, brand new battery. Still no crank. I bi-passed relay and starter does turn but engine still wont start. Tried it in both park and neutral. any ideas?

I hope you might be able to help me my 2005 mercy mariner was running fine I had to get the fuel out of the tank so I watched a video on how to bridge the starter relay so I was trying to bridge it over I was on the wrong relay I guess it got a ground it was the relay first one past the fuel pump relay toward the starter relay now it won't crank over and the fuel pump has no power please if you could help me your video did help me so much I have check all fuses they have power on both sides thank you.

Having a no start no crank issue. Been chasing it for months. Only thing it will do is click at the inside fuse panel. I have checked all fuses. Checked starter. Everything. Only started this after I replaced the battery

IN my daughters 2006 escape, auto trans, 3.0 V6, the 25 amp fuse is missing. The fuse that you pointed out that sends power to the inside fuse box.. should there be a fuse in that position and if it isn't there could that be why the balking starter. FYI, pushing in on the inition key in the run position, then while holding in turn to the start position seems to help balky start. new battery, alternator charging 14.2.

Good to hear your understanding of the fuses and diodes. I have a strange issue with the BCM. Everything functions, power windows, lighting, door locks with my key in the 3rd position (run?), but when I start the Escape which runs great, I lose power for the windows and door locks. Aftermarket radio works, headlights, cruise, etc all work. Just no power locks or power windows after the car is running. Thinking a ground because in 3rd position isn't my starter energized ? Then not just after crank? Thanks for any hints. It's automatic, 3.0.

Next step was to tear into the BCM but perplexed when I discovered I could control both just before starting car. Can even stop car, again turn key to accessory (3rd position) to roll any window up.
