Hey, I have the husqy tc250 2012, but mine doesn't have an electric starter. Did you installed it yourself ?

E-start came stock in these TC’s until the 2008 model. They shifted to the “x-lite” after that...trying to make the bike lighter. My year is more of a trail bike...you have more of a motocross model. Nice bike👍

TE and SMR are street legal, so headlight, taillights, blinkers horn electric starter....the TC is just the motocross version, and from what I remember the TC version have a slight higher redline. So they can rev a little higher

Yeah...they have a noisy valvetrain...pretty much normal.

It's a good trail bike but too hard to get parts for these days. I sold mine a few months ago.

Hey, what's a good price for one of these nowadays? I found one in great condition with a headlight, might be getting it soon. Would it make a good dual sport? Thanks

The TE model (with headlight) is considered a good dual sport by a lot of folks. What year are you looking at? Be warned...parts are getting harder to find on ones 2007 and earlier. I paid $2300 for mine, but it had less than 20 hours on it at the time. A lot of it's value is that it's a green sticker bike that I can ride year round here in CA.

If it's "super clean" and runs solid then $1500 sounds fair. Just keep in mind certain parts might only be available to get used off ebay. Good luck!

@@LSForce10 yeah people been telling at me on a forum saying the parts are hard to find. But what can't you find on eBay??

Here's a good example: This part (#8000A2977) is the rubber boot (union) that goes between the carb and the head. Take a look at the one on the bike you're buying and see if it's cracked...you can't get em' anywhere. A already cracked used one will pop up on ebay every now and then...but rarely. A place might say they have one online...then you order it and get your money refunded later cause they didn't. Rinse and repeat a half dozen times for me. Let me know if you get your hands on one.

This one is the “TC” motocross model...not legal on the street. The similar “TE” model is a dual sport with a headlight and can get plated with some work. (blinkers, mirrors etc.)
