Also in China 05 renault brought a suped up V10 and Renault had beaten Mclaren. If Mclaren had given them more of a fight Renault would of brought its new V10. Like in 1991 when Mansell and Willias decreased Senna's gap to 8 points. Mclaren hit back.

I just find amazing how 102 kg of fuel at that time only last 25 laps and today you finish the race with the same amount (the PU giving approximately the same power)! Not even mentioning the thermal efficiency reaching 50%! Despite the shitty sound, current F1 engines are true marvels of engineering.

Thierry Bangun The hybrids has gone way down in price now. Leasing costs is the same as the V10/V8. The V10 was also crazy expensive when they were new and then got cheaper over time. Same story over and over again in F1, engine cost, engine cost and engine cost. It has always been a talking point throughout the last 30-40 years in F1.

Formula Uuno Pure machines, drivers and tracks. Bravery did mean something. And no overtakes? How is it now then? Drivers say its almost impossible to do it now. Was it like one overtake on track in last race example... If you get close, no fight, push button and change place... Or try to RACE and get a penalty if you somehow manage to try pass. True racing... And cars says pröööööt.. F1 is crap now, it WAS...MANS sport. Glad there is good GT-Series now etc. Some actual RACING to watch.

Ok. But yeah, its quite stupid what they did, make the cars fasters because fan's pressure by adding more aero. They are just shooting on their feets again and again until F1 is gone, its joke now, cars are fast yes but feelings and everything that old F1 did bring is all gone. F1 should be noisy flat out racing on the limit from start to finish and driver in control, but instead we get this aerodynamics lawnmovers saving tyres and fuel from start to finish. F1's soul is ripped away, They are doing what is WEC-Series thing to do. Glad i did see the good last days of F1.

@GT012345tube Monza you know it wasn't puncture it was delamination by pushing so hard with a very heavier fuel load it will definitely hurt tyres and then he made a mistake by going wide else he would have overtaken Fisi atleast. And Nurburgring he was going off track and had a huge lock up and still was pushing hard after delamination. Some say driveshaft failure was his mistake in Imola as well by attacking kerbs so hard. And in 2003 he was great but Ferrari was at huge disadvantage due to Bridgestone tyres until Hungary. On an average of season Mclaren and Williams looked faster due to Michelin

Even Flavio said that they could easily match Mclaren speed if they used another engine but it was not that reliable so we sacrificed performance for reliability. Its ok to loose 2 or 4 points due to lower performance than to loose 10 points in achieving high performance

I’m watching this in 2021 as a relatively new f1 fan (since 2018). I really expected to see Renault change Alonso’s tyres during the pit stops which I’m sure I’ve seen in most pit stops in the pre hybrid era . Am I losing my mind or is there a reason they didn’t give Alonso fresh Bridgestones?

Hakkinen, Prime Kimi at McLaren and Alonso were the only true top talents during the Schumacher reign. Compare it to say, 1985 alone that had seven world champions on the grid. Jones, Rosberg, Lauda, Prost, Senna, Mansell, Piquet. Sure Montoya, Hill, Alesi were good drivers but not quite up there.
