This video is to show how I modified my stock exhaust on my 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force 750. It turned out sounding great, and saved me about $400 in the process.

excellent video....exactly what I was looking for! Going to do this to my KingQuad 700. I ordered a BigGun power box for it and I have to install my Griffin clutch kit and K&N filter.....should wake it up.

hello friend Kawasaki sounds good, but running is my question as sound. I mention this because I think you do the same to a brute force alike. regards

last question! if i dont 're jet it back fire how bad is for the engine? Sorry i dont know much about small engines. Thanks
@markalan40262 жыл бұрын
Whenever opening up additional airflow by modifying the exhaust and/or air intake it causes a lean air/fuel ratio. In order to correct this you must rejet the carburetors, or remap the fuel system with an EFI setup. Running an engine lean is not good and over time will cause damage. Also, you will not gain additional power simply by opening up air flow, you must add additional fuel as well.

with a free flow air intake filter like a k&n and the muffler mod....could you notice an improvement power wise?
@ranstrickjc9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments man, appreciate it. I noticed a huge difference when I did this mod I added a k&n and rejetted the carbs. It's in a different vid I uploaded if you're interested. It made the throttle response almost scary. I had to be careful not to accidentally bump it when I was sitting still because it would throw you back in a hurry! I need to do some new vids, I actually sold this Kawasaki and have bought two different Grizzly 700s since. They are more of a Cadillac and produce good power with some mods but the Kawi definitely had more get up and go.

what did you re jet them to?

did you use aluminum welding for this exhaust?
@ranstrickjc8 жыл бұрын
The stock pipe is made of steel so regular welds are the ticket. Used a wire feed.

would you recommend doing this for a clogged muffler? im thinking just the silencer is clogged because nothing else can get clogged

Hey bud did ya have any backfire issues before ya did you mod ?????
@ranstrickjc10 жыл бұрын
Yeah I did. The biggest thing that causing excessive back fires are when you are getting to little fuel. In other words, your fuel to air mixture is lean. There are a few things to fix it, but mainly make sure you have your air/fuel mixture screw to the right setting for your jets, air filter/inlet and exhaust capabilities. My other video on re-jetting the carb will explain a little. You don't want to do this mod without re-jetting the carbs because if you don't it will probably just make matters worse. Hope this helps.
@KUBBI74888 жыл бұрын
ok. do i have to 're jet if i do the same? if yes why?
@ranstrickjc8 жыл бұрын
I would recommend doing this only if you upgrade the stock air filter and jet. The reason is because all those things change the air to fuel ratio. Adding exhaust mods increase air flow and if you don't jet your bike will run lean and have some serious backfire problems.

for the time it took ya i would of just bought a slipon exhaust alot less time n hassle

Should have ran the bike before the mod just to hear the difference. Otherwise great vid. I have same model, green.
@ranstrickjc10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jesse. Yeah I thought about that too, and wish I had. But my buddy has the same bike and it's green like yours. His is totally stock and two weekends ago we went for a ride and the difference in sound is incredible. You can hardly tell his is running compared to mine. I have other friends who have aftermarket exhausts and they are a different kind of loud than mine, almost too loud in my opinion. I could hardly ride behind one of my friends until he changed it a bit. Everyone that I've ridden with since this mod says my bike sounds perfect and that they can ride behind me just fine. Appreciate the feed back man - take care.

You make a video about an exhaust mod , and show nothing on how it really sounds ?!?!?! I don’t get it ?
