gr8 vid! ....i had to clean my carbs on my 650 bf.....saw your video and decided to drill the small holes in each carb throttle slide. well thats all it needed because now my bf hauls ass!....stocks jets work fine.....the only other change is it uses a hugh amout of gasoline.... but its worth it.. thanks for the good info.

I went with a K&N air filter which really increased air flow and leaned out the mix so I was starting to get some really bad popping. I ended up buying a jet kit on amazon from 6 Sigma. You can email them your specs and what altitude you ride at and they will custom build the kit for your bike. I had a great experience with them, and once I put this kit in I had a brand new Brute. Check out my exhaust mod video and you will see a clip at the end with the Brute running.

Thanks Dennis, appreciate the feedback. I don't believe there was a "K" on the jets, but it did come with a few different sizes. As far as the idle jets are concerned they only sent one size. Not sure if they send it based on your set up but they do ask what mods you have done to your machine, as well as your specific height above sea level you will be primarily riding. I will say this, those idle jets make it start up almost immediately even in super cold weather or when it has sat for a week or two. Some great money spent for sure. Excuse me, I have a question. My ATV BRUTE FORCE 750 has fuel leaking out of the exhaust and apparently it is leaking into the oil.

Question, I just bought a 05 brute force 750. The quad idles fine. Once you go quarter throttle it will spit an spitter. Backfire out exhaust. My first thought was jet. Especially since it has a aftermarket exhaust on it . What size jet do I need to install in this thing. Also how many turns should I go in the air fixture screw. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Jeremy, you’re on the right track. If it has an aftermarket exhaust/air intake without jetting it is running lean and that’s why you’re getting the backfire. Check around for kits, and the air/fuel screw are all best chosen based on the altitude you live/ride. Hope this helps!

this is some good info,i have a 2007 brute force 750 and it does have an aftermarket exhaust but i had another guy do the re jet and its the same. the poblem that it has is that it backfires, bad, when its on idle its fine but when you ride it for a while it tends to backfire really loud and even turns off on times. i hope installing this jet kit will stop the issues i am having. if you got any feedback that could help me please tell me. thanks.

Keep in mind the brute needs the right mixture of fuel to air to run at peak performance. If it backfires a ton that generally means it's running lean, or in other words, there is too much air in the mixture. The brute has two carburetors, so the mix needs to be right on both. The best thing you can do is make sure you have a good pipe to handle the flow, especially if you re-jet. Make sure you have an improved air intake, as well as a good jet kit to give you better gas flow. There are the two screws in my video that adjust the air to gas ratio, do some research because at different elevations or sea level heights, you will want more or less fuel. Lastly, make sure to synchronize the carbs together so that one is not set correctly and the other is running rich or lean. Hope this helps.

I am about to install this same kit. Did you have to mess with the synchronization or make the sync tool described in the packet

Hi Paul. I didn't do the syncing of the carbs, but it was something I was about to do but actually ended up selling the Brute. It ran amazing under 90-95% of situations. We do a lot of snow riding way up in elevation and the only time I experienced issues was at WOT for prolonged periods of time. It would start to pop and lose power and you could smell the gas in the exhaust. To me it seemed like one carb was running the right mixture while the other was too rich. I would recommend doing the sync when you do your kit. I ran out of time and needed to get my bike back together for a ride is the only reason I didn't do it at that time. My goal was to post a video on syncing the carbs up as well, just never got around to it!

Hey, good video I wish all toys had diy videos like this haha I am looking at a 05 750 right now and was wondering howyou like yours and if there's anything specific I should look for. The seller says it has had the front diff, engine,wheel bearings and aarm bushings done/rebuilt, it is also chipped, snorkeled and clutched If the rubber intake boots were cracked would it run rough?

Hey Gavin - I personally would stay away from a machine that has been ridden that hard. Even if you plan to snorkel, or ride it hard look for one that is stock and do it yourself. Unless you get a screaming deal I think you will kick yourself later. Even if you get a screaming deal you might kick yourself! :) Biggest advice I can give you is be patient and look around. Check around 2-3hrs from where you live because the right deal is worth traveling for. And yes, if someone rides deep water often with cracks in those boots I can guarantee they took water into those intakes and swamped the motor. Hope this helps.

ranstrickjc Ya, thats good advice. I am now just looking at stock quads, I found a 650 and a 750 I am interested in both red like yours. Have you had trouble with your buss connector?

Go with 750, or Grizzly 700. I did my buss connector just in case. It's really easy. If you buy one I'll walk you through it. If you can find an 08 or newer brute it will be fuel injected which I think is worth it. But honestly, I bought a Grizzly 700 and I will be doing some new vids on it. It is so smooth on the trail it's ridiculous!

ranstrickjc I hear ya, one of my buddies just picked up a 14 grizzly 700. It rides like a dream, unfortunately I don't really have the cash for a quad right now as I'll be picking up a new sled for this season so I am looking to trade my sled for a quad. I have found a 06 brute force (had fan re wired to a switch) also had the timing chain and water pump done at 1200 kms iirc it has 1869kms right now. It has a big box on the back and stock wheels/tires so it doesn't look to have been beat to bad. The other quad I have my eye on is a 07 king quad 750 (might be a 700) it has 5000kms but from what I have read on them they have very little issues, and if I get a programmed ecu it will have the snappyness of a brute.

CAUTION,, do not use a 5/32 drill in the slide. The slide relief hole should be drilled with a #49 drill, or .073. 5/32 is way to big and not recommended.
