2005 Mercury Sable Won't Crank or Start...1 Click Fixed

Car had issues Starting after it was parked. Battery was good. Terminals were cleaned. Battery was given a boost anyway. Still had the same issue. Everything else worked normally. Car had full power. Engine would not Crank.

I had the same exact experience on multiple occasions with my Mercury Sable before it finally wouldn't crank at all in a gas station parking. Prior to this final event, I was able to eventually crank my car but not the last time. So, I finally diagnosed the problem by testing the voltage to my starter with a voltmeter as my wife tried to crank it, which showed that the problem was a bad starter because although it had power there, it wouldn't crank. The solution was to replace the starter. This permanently solved the problem.

Oh man in same exact situation, 98 mercury sable, got a new battery, still just clicked, o'reilly auto parts won't even take the battery back. So out $200. I'm hoping it's the starter, going to mechanics this week

I have a 2005 Mercury Sable that wont start. We replaced the battery, starter, and alternator. It will start with jumper cables but when you take the cables off it dies. No power at all. Any ideas?
