2005 NSLC BAYERS LAKE STORE GRAND OPENING

I found this video that I didn't know I had buried in a directory on an old PC. This was made to mark the opening of the then-new NSLC flagship store in Halifax's Bayers Lake Business Park in 2005. People featured include then Chairman of the NSLC Peter McCreath opening a bottle of bubbly with a sword; several industry representatives; and a number of now-departed NSLC management staff. As stated in the video, this was an exciting time for the NSLC as they tried reinventing themselves as a retailer. That spirit carried on for a number of years but now has largely dissipated unfortunately. This video makes me remember what a fun time it was to be in the midst of all the reinvention of the organization that was happening during this period.
