It took me many tries but it finally worked! If you did it right, the last time you close the door it goes trough a lock unlock sequence by itself once the you push your remote's lock unlock buttons a few times, after maybe 10s the door goes trough another lock unlock sequence and then after opening and closing the door my key fob was working again, hope that my very vague instructions can help.

Don't short press; keep long press LOCK for 5 to 10s, then open long, then both for >5s.

At what point did you switch from the old fob to the new one? I got as far as the power button x3 and it locks and unlocks but then nothing. SOS!

Then you need to keep following the tuto: long press lock, long press unlock, long press both. Long press are required for the key to transmit it's security code to the car. Then, open the door, close it , and the key will work.
