Another fact, LSU destroyed Miami this day with a backup QB, a backup who would eventually become one of the greatest QBs in school history sure, but a backup nonetheless. Had this happened in modern times, Miami gets clowned on the internet with memes all summer. I’m fairly confident had Jamarcus played, LSU would’ve done to Miami what they did to Oklahoma in 2019, but with an even stouter defense.

Yup, UM was just about even with LSU skills position wise, but the big difference was the trenches, lsu was much bigger and more talented than the u was along the line of scrimmage. Plus playing in a much more difficult conference helped as well.

This game exposed many underlying problems in the Miami program. Discipline was gone, player development was faltering and coaching was suspect. Coker's seat was hot here and next year it was on fire
