In order to drop rack n pinion down enough do you have to remove the 2 fluid lines that are held on by 1 bolt to drop it enough

Is harder as replacing the valve cover gasket ? Because already replaced the valve cover gasket ! Replacing was easy, what wasn't easy was take the parts off

It's not really hard it's just need to be patient take probably 30 minutes

It’s supremely easy to remove the rack and pinion what is a bitch is all that oil all over the place but the most important thing is you will lose alignment, most likely, but I guess if you just undo the bolts at the wheel, no problem whatsoever but we all love to take the easy route

Did you have to remove the motor mount bolts to raise the motor to get the clearance to get the pan out? I have dropped the rack and pinion and i still can not get my pan off!

No you don't have to. just drop the rack and pinion.

Where is the oil pump located ? In the oil pan ? And do you have to mess with the timing ?

There's no gasket for this oil pan you have to use black silicone.

Did you have to just take the 4 bolts loose on the rack or did you have to take the steering connection loose too ?

Hi Roy , yes you have to take the four bolt for the rack and the steering joint loose too. Make sure before you loose the jount on the rack the steering wheel have to be on Street position.

@@julianortiz699 I mean you have to hold the steering in a straight position before take the joint otherwise you're going to have bad steering angle off.
