2005 Up Crown Victoria Clutch Pedal Fabrication; 2010 Twin Turbo Build

Starting our 5 speed swap since we smoked the auto during dyno day (ep 10b), we will be temporarily installing a t45 and using a hydraulic clutch conversion meant for a 96-2004 mustang. We will be modifying the factory brake pedal assembly (dissabling the adjustable pedal part) and combining it with a 2000 Mustang pedal assembly. It turned out great!

I was looking at doing this for my 2005 crown Victoria 5 speed swap. The more I looked into it I think I am going with a stand alone Wilwood clutch pedal and master cylinder. There is enough room to the left of the brake pedal to mount it to the firewall. Great video.

I have a drive shaft spacer if you have not sourced one, the T45 did not need it so guessing the TR3650 does. I am using the same hydraulic kit in my vic and it works good but my pedal still feels heavy however I don't know how much heavier it would be with my stage 3 without the hydro conversion and don't want to find out 😂 I'd rather have the external slave with the clutch fork over the hydro throw out bearing. I went with a T45 and had to screw the adjuster all the way in and it still is making contact with the fingers slightly. I think you said you have a TR3650 so you may not experience that. How far you plan on bringing the Caprice? Personally I like the Vic but I am bias, I did like my 92 Caprice though too.

I appreciate that! I think I have one coming assuming it's correct. I also would rather have the external slave, especially after installing the hydro throw out. Funny, I had to make an additional spacer for mine to get to the 0.100-0.120 they wanted. it was short, even extended all the way with the included spacer. The caprice will be basically identical build to this one, except it's a high compression 302 instead of turbo. It is a square body style caprice that I've had for 20+ years taking up space in a shipping container.

We moved the brake pedal pad down. It's 1 million times more comfortable to drive. We don't have the biggest feet either. Size 9.5 or 10.
