Im going to have this done on my 07 V70 2.5T. I don’t have the money for a proper exhaust so doing something this simple and cheap is a no brainer for me. Gonna do the same thing you did and leave the resonator but I also will keep the factory exhaust tip to be more low key

Sounds pretty good man, I'm sure it's much better in person too. I just bought an 06 s60 yesterday! I'm so excited to bring it home. Don't plan on any exhaust or engine mods though, except maybe performance air filter. I like it stock and beautiful!

This gives me so much motivation! I'm on the market for a S60 2.5T or S60r. I love these cars. Plan to go to stage 3 with forged internals bigger turbos and huge fuel system on E85 with anti lag. I might even build/swap the trans.

s60r definitely your best bet a lot of work has to get done to a stock 2.5t that could be completely avoided with r. also active chassis and awd are game changing

AirsoftWarfareHD I wasnt xD i just did it today. It is the loudest fucking thing i have ever heard. It set off car alarms nearby. Its not too bad when driving, but when accelerating the sound is a bit loud on the inside of the car. Other than that, its all good

+DAVIDTHECARGUY I ended up reverting back to normal but i did remove the resonator. My friend did it for me because he is smarter with cars than I am and he told me after putting it back that he couldnt figure out how to get the muffler off without removing the resonator as well.

I have a 2001 v70xc with the 2.5 LPT, I want to chop off the rear muffler and run a flexible pipe to the end of the car. It only has 98k on the clock. I plan on keeping it for a long time and I dont want to have it be to loud and eventually become annoying. So there's no interior drone from the exhaust? I run mine kinda hard cause I love the sound it makes, but I'd like it to sound better but not super loud to get me pulled over lmao Sorry for the long ass comment.

That sounds just the right kind of wrong. I have an XC90 with this engine, and it's a sleeper, but I just put 19 inch Erakir rims on it (had to mod them) and it give a more sinister look, and this sound would suit it. I will have to look into it. Any messages or CEL?

The last time I put a chrome tip on like that, the same way you did, it made weird turbulence sounds. Kindof like yours does. You should probably get a different tip so you don't get that wooshing sound. Don't believe me? You'll find soot >behind< the tip later on, proving some of the gases are actually going back between the tip and the tailpipe. Not fun

Darrien Richardson, me and my dad have owned two Volvo S60 2.5t, one 2006 and the other a 2004. Keep an eye on your oil and control arms and they are great reliable cars

it would just sound like any other naturally aspirated straight 6, i'd reccomend a resonator because the lack of a turbo will make the exhaust sound harsh and raspy
