The RWD M35s last longer and ride smoother than the Xs. I own a 2006 and a 2008 M35 that both are RWD. My wife and I love both of them and have 0 problems out of either, only did oil changes, full tune ups, belts, batteries, brakes and tires on both. Never even had to replace a starter or alternator or anything else on either one. The 2006 we bought with 81k miles and its currently at 243k running perfectly. I do drop pan and loosening around filter trans fluid exchanges which drain 8 to 9qts of fluid every 30k to 40k, I also do Antifreeze fluid flushes at same interval when I change spark plugs during tune ups. I only use OEM fluids and plugs as well. The 2008 M35 we bought with only 43k miles from 1 owner that garaged it throughout retirement only putting 7k miles a year on it. It is currently at 92k and im doing my first full fluid exchange and spark plug change tune up along with replacing both belts for 1st time. I see no reason why its wont go strong to 300k as well. These are special cars that will go strong to 300k or more if you do OEM maintenance every 30k to 40k and change oil every 3k. I do not recommend changing oil every 5k or more because it will cause Q engine too start burning oil if you d I that. I only use royal purple oil and filter too. Long live the M35 M37 and M45!!! A legend in the car game 🗿 Infiniti Gang Gang

I purchased my 06 M45 about two yrs ago with 150k Miles’s I now have about 190k. It’s been a solid car. I changed the valve cover gaskets, plugs coils, cam shaft sensor, radiator, and fluids. Oil consumption is about. 1 quart between 5k changes.

I've had my 06 M45 since 08..Bought it with less than 30k on it, and now has over 225, original engine amd trams, amd still has pretty of snatch.......Regarding the 4.5, it really shines whej you're driving at highway speeds, then step on it...That MF moves to 'only' have 335hp......Still plenty quick.....Enjoy yours and never let it go.....It'll be a classic

Check your fans. My 2006 M45 kept overheating with the AC on. It took it happening for several months before I figured out it was one of the fans. When your AC is running, both fans have to be on. When your AC is off, one fan is all that’s needed to keep the engine cool. I changed the fan relay, a fan control module and a engine temperature sensor for nothing. So, just turn the AC on, if only one fan is working, you will need a new fan assembly.

When it gets hot it is because it has air in the radiator and engine system. You have to vacuum it with a cone that Auto Zone sells.

These M45 are notorious for oil burn and Infiniti even had an engine replacement program where if you consumed a certain amount of oil within a given timeframe, they understand replace the engine, no charge......Google it😊

If you're in the market for something like this you may as well grab a G35 Sedan with HR or G37 VHR. Lighter, faster, revs higher and more fuel efficient. Maybe this has more luxury or better ride, not sure.
