2006-2011 Honda Civic Rocker Arm Replacement

Hi, thank you so much for this video. I have recently adjusted valves clearance in my r18a1. I have found the washer that goes between rocker arms sitting loose in the cylinder head. I don’t know how that washer came of but now at least I know where it is from😅. My engine has been jerking at 2000 RPMs. Is there a way to find how to assemble this rocker arm from scratch? TIA

I got lucky and found the whole set of rocker arms on eBay. You can check Honda part websites but I don’t think Honda sells them in a complete set anymore, at least not for this generation Honda civic but I may be wrong.

I have the car immobile for over 2 months. Stripped thread on 1st bolt while trying to adjust valve clearance. Swear to God won’t touch this never again if the car drives ever again. Praying the amateur self claimed car mechanic (it was nearby) that actually removed that 1st rocker arm didn’t let any of these tiny springs land in engine bay. Othhwise game over for my Civic. Big thanks for the vid. At least I was able to get this whole used spart part. Accoriding the car mechanic, original Honda part is 14620-RNA-A01. Costs fortune. And doesn’t come with multiple spare tiny springs, if your car mechanic is dumb head and loses some..

Sorry I don’t own the car anymore. What I can say is basically once you remove the valve cover, the bolts that hold down the rocker arm assembly just remove those and the assembly comes out, it’s pretty easy.

@@awayfromk I don't need to do anything with the timing chain on the camshaft right? Just the bolts holding in the assembly itself? I've heard conflicting stuff

@@awayfromk Just pulled one at the junkyard, super easy to take off. Hopefully putting the new arms on my current assembly goes as smoothly. Thanks for the vid

@@liamflynn6929 no you don’t have to touch anything with the timing chain. As soon as you take off the valve cover, I believe there’s 10 bolts you need to remove to allow the rocker arm assembly to become loose and you carefully remove it out. I should’ve made a video on how to remove it but I was actually doing it for the first time myself so I wanted to spend time focusing on doing everything correct and not record a video haha.
