AWEOME Phillip, perfect explanation i always had problems how to check those system for GM cars and were to get those wires you used to scope the ignition module do they sale those. cheeeeers

If your talking about the universal breakout leads I bought them on ebay; www.ebay.com/itm/274730570434 Came from China so took some time but very handy and quite reasonable.

Saturn back in the day was GM's lab rat for these engines. They had a few growing pains like the ICM failures. They had such a high failure rate that a recall was issued. Involved anything from changing the ICM, putting in new spark plugs and maybe reflashing the PCM. Hopefully you put new plugs in because GM always advised to do so after an ICM failure. If the cat isn't toast I'd be surprised, 12 miles is a long way to drive with two cylinders not firing and dumping fuel into the cat.
