Thankfully i have had no issues the passlock, but i have an issue with the igniton switch thinking the key is still in and triggering the alarm, it also shows the gear on the guage cluster. Would i not need to program the key again if im just replacing the igntion switch, not the sensor?

If I understand you correctly, then no, you likely would not need to relearn anything since you will have the same senor. You should be good to swap out the ignition switch, but even if you have to relearn anything you would not need a scantool. And as far as I know, these trucks do not have a chip in the key. Hope this helps.

2 weeks later, i replaced the entire igntion switch, including the passlock sensor aswell. I originally thought there was a mechanical issue with the switch, but the sensor was bad. I could have just did the replacement that you did in your video. But it did fix my issue at last😁

To anyone having the issue that i did, replace the passlock sensor and program it like normal. That should fix the issue i had.
