2006 Dell Inspiron E1405 Running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

I was a little bored, so I decided to show off one of my Windows XP computers. This is my 2006 Dell Inspiron E1405, which is the Media Center PC that I have. I demonstrate the MediaDirect feature, which allows you to watch DVDs and listen to music files without having to boot the entire Windows operating system. I also boot into main Windows XP and demonstrate some of the preloaded games and programs. I play an old WildTagent game inside of Media Center which I actually like.

This is the very FIRST computer I ever encountered in my life. It was my family’s main computer for years until I inherited it, and I still have it to this day! I’ve upgraded it quite a bit, though sadly it no longer has the Media Direct partition. Even so, it still works quite well, and with loads of upgrades it can be quite a cool retro XP laptop!

How Media Direct works is that if you press the Media Direct button, instead of booting to the main OS, it will instead boot to a minimal Windows environment. That's why you see the Windows XP style loading screen but replaced with their own.

Saludos... De hecho si...tengo una computadora de este modelo y funciona con Windows 10 de 32 bits, aunque en mi caso con un procesador Intel Centrino Duo 1.73 Ghz y una memoria RAM de 2 GB, junto con un SSD de 120 GB, se desempeña de una forma regular....

Como dije, eso hice y funciona, mejora en algo el rendimiento... aun así el desempeño de este S.O en este tipo de equipos es no es el más óptimo.@@alvarezortiz4679
