2006 Dodge Charger brake master cylinder headache

I spent half of a Saturday driving around trying to find the correct master cylinder for this car. I found out that it had a different thread size and was a mid year change. #fail

That is brutal. So much time for such a small job. But you got it done. Save a lot of money doing the job.

What’s the part number I have the issue with the smaller port hole

@@TwoDoorTayDon't have the part number. I remember there were 3 different ones. Advance was the only place that had the one I needed.

Yeah a lot like what they Put in the trucks but you have way more access to it in the trucks. The bleeder kits going away sucks that why I keep a box of fittings and lines so I can bench bleed them or do them on the car with the pedal helps keep the mess down, good thing to have working brakes.

It definitely helps when the brakes work. Had to rinse everything down with water to get rid of all the brake fluid.

how am i able to tell it needs a new master cylinder? when i brake it goes down to the floor, but no leaking anywhere? could it need a new one?

If everything else looks good then it could be a bad seal in the master. If you are working on a similar car make sure you get the correct one. There were 3 different options when I did this one and it was a pain to find the correct one.
