2006 F-150 Swap out original dome lights for LED's

I swapped out the original dome light bulbs for Sylvania LED #168 in a 2006 Ford F-150

How did you pull it out so easily, mine snapped that plastic ring and even with that off I still can't remove that whole housing like that, 2007 F150 with Sunroof, looks just like yours

Update? I still never got mine out. Way too much pressure it feels like ima break something. Went 3 years now with this being broke.

Got mine off just fine with a flathead screwdriver. Anyone looking for a “secret” it is don’t be heavy handed.

It’s obvious you have to take the cover to replace the bulbs. But the important thing is how without breaking any tabs & what tool to use. (Not covered) time wasted looking at the hanging assembly cos prep wasn’t done before hand.Then the camera is positioned where you can’t see what you were doing above the assembly NOT HELPFUL AT ALL
