So I was not clear how you made those I forget what you called it….but it goes between the air condition and the roof. You mentioned you welded them down….can you provide more detail. It almost appeared too create a gap so that you don’t have to drill into the the actual roof. I really like that I am DYIing it so I have my questions…thanks

if i purchased a new camper could you install your boots and fix all protrusions without replacing the roof membrane?

No. Can't curb an EPDM roof and the RV grade TPO is too thin to weld to.

Can you reuse metal trim and remove and put back using same screw holes

That depends on the condition of the stock behind it. If the screws will torque back then yes. But you can also just drill a hole beside the initial hole and out a screw there...OR change the front to rear. If you have 2 rails on the side just move the rear one to the front position of that side and the front to the rear. That would jump the screw pattern. Thanks for watching!

We have a teardrop style fiberglass travel trailer what’s the procedure for caring for all protrusions from that type of roof?The RV dealers want you to use Dicor sadly.

@@stu7263 if there is silicone you can remove what you can clean with alcohol and use Metalink. You can buy that at bestmaterials com. It does come in about 30 colors.

So do you use a primer with the M1 adhesive sealant and is it only used on the TPO or Rubber also please explain your self lets get clear also on the clear caulking you need to get clear on that also. As an ex construction estimator, I think you are spot on but not clear in your explanation.

I know there is a question on primer on another video...but any plastic,acrylic or membranes that leach Leaching is when the sun's UV Ray's pulls molecules much like when the sun dries out your skin. With TPO roofing or acrylic plastic lenses they leach plasticizers. EPDM rubber leaches carbon because it is a protroleum bass product. Primers seal those pores to impede the leaching and allow the caulk to fully adhere. No matter what caulk you use it will need a primer. However just because you use a primer doesn't necessarily mean that the caulk is compatible. Caulks with pretroleim distillates may break down the membrane or plastic. Read your tech data sheet to know the compatibility. Thanks for watching!
