2006 Ford E150 door handle cable repair

Shows how to repair a 2006 Ford E150 door handle. Shows why not to use aluminum pieces sold on ebay - namely they can't work without machining - and questionable with machining - so why would you?

You feed the metal cable through the slot and then slide the metal end over the cable sheathing

The key is to take a screwdriver and spread the teeth apart so the aluminium fitting fits in. Then use pliers to close them back on the aluminium end piece.

I thought about this but I think it's easier to get the rubber type. A actually I may have done this before because I'm pretty sure I bought those aluminum things one time before and I'm pretty sure I repaired one of these doors one time before so but I can't hundred percent remember or which door it was or anyting but I think one thing that would make a difference if you only got one problem

@@BhodieBob I'll agree that just getting new cables is easier. Getting those aluminum ends on the old cables does require modification. Payoff is they'll never break.
