Urlacher and Briggs were amazing special linebacker duo absolutely game wreckers

I remember watching this game & getting ready for bed, afterwards so I could get ready to wake up, take a shower & go to school as if it were literally yesterday... I was in the first semester of my Junior year of high school, at the time.

Totally agree how the best kick returner of all time, the guy who completely dominated games with only playing about five plays a game, the guy who people literally refused to kick to they would kick kickoffs out of bounds on purpose and literally take the penalty for. How is the guy not in the Hall of Fame when you never ever under any circumstances kick the ball to Devin Hester. As a bear fighting Hester was and is my favorite player of all time. And since I was born in 85 and I was only about what 10 months old when they won the Super Bowl the best moment in my Bears fandom life is Hester's Super Bowl return because it all pretty much went downhill from there but man was that Guy special. Should have been a first ballot hands down no questions asked

Devin Hester is getting inducted into the HOF Class of 2024 others like Rick Upchurch, Billy "White Shoes' Johnson, Dante Hall, Eric Metcalf, Brian Mitchell etc should've been in a long time ago but because of bias against special teams players {primarily P/K returners} many have been denied entry because the NFL doesn't have an established criteria for induction into the HOF

The road to the Superbowl was a slam dunk for the Bears in spite of their bipolar quarterback play and devastating injuries to Tommie Harris and Mike Brown. Of the 4 games vs NFC playoff teams they were 4-0 outscoring Seattle, NY and NO 141-64, including the ot 3 point victory in the NFC divisional vs Seattle. The 2 other 8 win teams in the hunt not including week 17 playing their backups after wrapping up home field in week 15 outscoring STL and GB by a cumulative 68-27. Only 2004 NFC was weaker in my lifetime.

2004 and 2006 were strikingly similar for the NFC imo. One elite team, others who were just behind them were good; nothing too special
@chicagodude888811 ай бұрын
@@mariosnum1fan Both seasons the NFC had 59 cumulative wins for their playoff representatives. an average of under 10 wins. 2004 nfc went a combined 116-140, 06 120-136. The path for both the Eagles and Bears was a slam dunk even with injuries to TO, and Harris and Brown with the Bears.

I remember this game and I wonder how the Bears won. The stank up the place in the first half. Fumbles, picks. It was that kind of season. Interestingly, I’m convinced if the Bears had brought their A game in Super Bowl, they would have won. Colts won with their B game

Bears have #1 draft pick this year. Expected to draft the USC Heisman trophy winner QB. I wonder what a trade could do for the Bears. Maybe trade and get two 1st round picks and draft another QB. This year might be the best year for the QB draft. There's around 8 very good QB's. Personally I'd trade. Pick a different 1st round QB and get another 1st round pick to shore up another one of their weak spots. All great teams have NO weak spots.
