Thanks for the video. My glass is stuck, and just makes a clicking noise. I have a bad MICU, and wondering if that’s causing the rear window regulator or switch to malfunction.

Does anyone know what size the glass supposed to be? I have ridgeline 2014 but the replacement glass looks to be a bit bigger

So I just replaced mine myself this past weekend with a full OEM replacement. Took me less then and hour, very easy DYI if you don't have glass coverage. The glass does not have holes through it, just a metal bracket glued to it. The one I had replaced by a glass company looks like they cut a piece of glass and tried gluing the metal bracket on themselves, explaining why it never shut right. OEM replacement works great.

So mine broke as well,I siliconed a piece of plexi glass which works ok. However I cannot open and close the window. So now I will take the backseats off to access the bracket and actually bolt the plexi glass to it, so I can open and close the window. Thanks for the video, you might wanna try the plexi glass for the 3rd one. ✌️👍🤘

Would it help to leave one if the front windows cracked to dissipate heat ? I do this on all my vehicles just so air will circulate and keep it cooler. I've never checked to compare temp if closed vs open. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

maybe have the glass covered in some 3M coating so it wont explode anymore

This happend to my 07 Ridgeline also, while i was driving. It just exploded. I tried removing the back seat and window track, but you still cant get the glass in. You have to completely remove the outer seal and the entire back window assembly and purchase a new seal. I consulted with the dealer as well and that was the procedure. It's also in the service manual as well. I'ts allot harder than it looks. Glass is roughly $100. Dealer wants close to $1000 to replace it.

This happened to me about a week ago in January. I live in Oregon, it was cold, and I was in a Mall parking lot driving slow. The window just exploded for no reason. The glass was replaced by Safelite at their facility. Cost was below deductible. If it happens again, I'll probably do it myself.

Steve Voelker yea mine was replaced by safelight too but the guy said he had no way to do it so window would open. Basically told me its jerry rigged in there and not to open it. I had found my window shattered, luckily i had tinting on it or glass would have been everywhere. I live in tampa florida i dont know if the heat causes it or if its a defect in the way they designed it, ive never heard of any other manufacturer with sliding rear windows having this issue

Had mine blow up once and it has never shut right since the glass shop replaced it. Was also told that it was a 9 hour job.

Not very helpful. It's easy to yank th seat, pull the plastic caps and vac up the glass. Getting the glass back into it's track without removing the rear window is the info needed so it's actually a a waste of time to watch this video.

hey partner might help to remove those decal's I love metallica maiden sublime, but some clown's busted my rear window the same as your's 2 time's i'm not accusing anyone but there are some weird people who get funny or tryin to impress their friend's???? I hope your problem is eliminated.
